I want to get married…again!

Yep, I said it. It’s probably going to kill my dating life. Likely all online dating will grind to halt, because yes, I’ve put it out into the universe. Damn it, I loved being married, I love being part of a team, I love and believe in the union of marriage.  

I could lie, and say I really am just looking for a casual “Let’s see where this goes relationship”, but nope, then I’m not your girl. I want a man, a real man, that believes in his ability to hold up his end of the bargain. He knows he can keep it in his pants with other women, he is mentally stable, and he is in a place where he is ready to commit on a deep, emotionally intimate level. He has done his homework, and the scars of his past failed relationships have faded, and he’s ready to move on with determination. Here’s the thing, I believe by the time you are my age (a whopping 47 years of age) two people should have the maturity to make a relationship and indeed  marriage a success. You surely are able to understand what sacrifice is, and it’s not losing but by giving to the one you love you are gaining. Gaining her trust, her devotion and a partner for life. 

So yes, I am totally going out on a limb here. I loved being a wife, and I would love to find a husband. I expect a lot from a husband, just like he should expect a lot of me as a wife. I want to inspire and be inspired and find a man that innately knows that sum of us together is far more powerful than the two of individually. We are there to protect, nurture and love each other through life’s perils, and the rewards of a healthy, happy marriage are beyond measure. 

So anyone out there that can find me a fabulous man, send him my way!
